As coberturas apresentam propriedades mec\u00e2nicas espec\u00edficas e podem minimizar danos de origem mec\u00e2nica, decorrentes do transporte e manuseio.\u00a0<br \/><span style=\"font-size: 16.0016px;\"><b>Od\u00edlio Assis \u2013 Pesquisador \u2013 Embrapa Instrumenta\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/b><\/span><\/p><div>\u00a0A Embrapa Instrumenta\u00e7\u00e3o tem realizado nas \u00faltimas d\u00e9cadas pesquisas com revestimentos comest\u00edveis utilizando distintos componentes.\u00a0 Desde 2013, por meio de parceria com a empresa Tanqu\u00edmica \u2013 QGP Qu\u00edmica \u2013 www.tanquimica.com.br e em colabora\u00e7\u00e3o com a Universidade Federal S\u00e3o Carlos \u2013 UFSCar foi desenvolvida nanoemuls\u00e3o a base de carna\u00faba para aplica\u00e7\u00e3o em p\u00f3s-colheita em frutas e hortali\u00e7as.\u00a0 A emuls\u00e3o nanoparticulada confere outras propriedades a este revestimento, formando uma pel\u00edcula invis\u00edvel, proporcionando uma troca gasosa mais adequada com redu\u00e7\u00e3o na perda de massa, incremento na firmeza e brilho aos frutos, conferindo uma extens\u00e3o na vida de prateleira de frutos.\u00a0 Estudos iniciais foram realizados para laranja, tangerina, mam\u00e3o e tomate.\u00a0 Al\u00e9m da Tanqu\u00edmica, a solu\u00e7\u00e3o tecnol\u00f3gica recebeu apoio da Funda\u00e7\u00e3o de Amparo \u00e0 Pesquisa do Estado de S\u00e3o Paulo (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fapesp.br\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fapesp<\/a>), Coordenadoria de Aperfei\u00e7oamento de Pessoal de N\u00edvel Superior (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.capes.gov.br\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Capes<\/a>) e do Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Cient\u00edfico e Tecnol\u00f3gico (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnpq.br\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CNPq<\/a>).\u00a0 Esta Tecnologia Embrapa foi recentemente transferida para a empresa Tanquimica, a qual possui o licenciamento para comercializa\u00e7\u00e3o.
